Our Policies
The principles and commitments that govern our work.
Child protection policy
Every staff member and volunteer who comes into contact with children puts the child's safety and best interests first. Wherever possible, contact with children takes place in open settings where other adults can see; being alone with a child in a closed setting is avoided. Distributions take place, as far as possible, in the presence of the family or an adult the child trusts. Any suspicion of child abuse or neglect is reported immediately to the board and the competent authorities. You can raise any child protection concern with us at info@kardesder.com.
Photography, image and consent policy
Photographs and videos in the field are taken to document that aid has arrived; aid is never conditional on being photographed. Images are taken with the knowledge and verbal or written consent of the person — or, for children, of their family or guardian; anyone who declines receives their aid in exactly the same way. We do not publish images that demean people, portray them as helpless, or show them injured or grieving, and we never share children's full names, schools or exact locations. The images of anyone who withdraws consent are removed from our own channels. Older publications that do not meet these standards are corrected or removed as they come to our attention.
Personal data protection
The personal data of our donors and of the people we serve is protected under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, No. 6698). It is used only for the purpose for which it was collected and is not shared with third parties except where required for payment processing or by law.
Donor privacy
If you prefer that your name not appear on signs, in posts or in lists, your donation is recorded anonymously.
Ethics
Our staff and volunteers may not seek any benefit in return for aid; conflicts of interest are reported to the board.
Complaints and feedback
You can send any complaint or suggestion by phone, WhatsApp or email. Complaints are logged and receive a first response within ten working days at the latest.
